Collinite Pre-wax Cleaner 840

Collinite 840 Pre-Wax Cleaner is a mild-cut pre-wax cleaner safely and effectively removes brake dust, road film, light oxidation, oil, bird droppings, water spots, and tough stains from exterior automotive finishes. Collinite #840 Pre-Wax cleaner is also fantastic for brightening up aluminium and chrome surfaces.

Collinite 840 Pre-Wax Cleaner restores original color and gloss and facilitates the easy application of Collinite’s last step waxes (845, 476, 915); improving wax bond, spread coverage and durability. Collinite 840 Pre-Wax Cleaner is intended for paint that is well-maintained and that doesn’t need any additional swirl removal or polishing. This cleaner is designed to prepare a vehicle for a fresh coat of wax by removing old wax and any stubborn contamination that washing didn’t remove.

Not recommended for dark clear coat finishes.

This is a chemical cleaner with no abrasives or protective properties.

Always follow it with a wax. Collinite Insulator Wax 845 or Super DoubleCoat Wax 476 will both create a long-lasting, protective gloss.

Enhance the gloss and clarity of your favorite Collinite wax by first cleaning the paint with Collinite PreWax Cleaner 840.

To apply by machine: work at a low speed with no pressure since you are simply applying a product. Use a microfiber bonnet over a lambswool pad to remove Insulator Wax. Apply wax to one section at a time, wait 30 seconds, and then buff.

HOW TO USE

The wax is only available in a heavy-duty 16oz bottle that features a safety cap and not having any seal.

Shake well before using. Surface should feel lukewarm to the touch. Apply THIN amount of No. 840 to section no larger than 2X2 ft at a time with applicator pad. Rub well to loosen all tarnish, oxidation etc. Reapply as necessary until surface is free of embedded contaminants. Before product dries, polish off with dry microfiber or soft cotton towel. For follow-up shine and protection on clean surfaces, use one of Collinite’s last step waxes (845, 476, 915). See TECH SHEET for additional tips and instructions.

If you are using a machine, use GreenZ Hybrid White Heavy Cutting Foam and use few drops on the pad. Use low speed while applying by machine.

Use a microfiber towel (like Ultimate Premium Super Plush Microfiber Towel) with a medium nap to remove the cleaner.
