Leather Care the GYEON Way: Clean, Protect and Wash Safely

Leather ages from the inside of the car: sun through the glass, sweat, hand oils and dust. A three-product routine from GYEON handles it in the order that works: clean first, protect second, and keep the exterior wash from undoing the protection you have already applied.

Step 1: clean with LeatherCleaner Natural

The GYEON Q²M LeatherCleaner Natural is a mild, pH-neutral cleaner made for luxury leather and suitable for modern automotive leather. It removes light dirt, oily residue and light discolouration. It has no softening or preserving additives, deliberately, so the surface is left ready for a coating rather than sealed with oils that would get in the way.

Vacuum first. For light contamination, spray onto a microfibre cloth and wipe gently. For heavier contamination, spray a small area and work it with a quality leather brush using straight motions rather than rubbing dirt in. It leaves a fully matte finish. Made in Korea.

Step 2: protect with Q2 Leather Shield

The GYEON Q² Leather Shield is an SiO2-based ceramic leather coating for modern automotive leather, protecting against dirt, UV and everyday wear. One limit matters: do not use it on open-structure, aniline or semi-aniline leather.

On compatible leather it needs only one layer, does not change the finish, feel or colour, does not stiffen the leather or make it slippery, and leaves a matte finish. Clean thoroughly with LeatherCleaner Natural first, remove excess cleaner, test on a small area, apply one panel at a time with even coverage, do not wipe off, and check after 20 minutes if levelling is needed.

Step 3: wash the exterior without stripping protection

GYEON Q²M Bathe is a highly concentrated, pH-neutral car shampoo. Its gentle nature is meant to give a safe wash on every automotive surface without affecting the wax, sealant or coating already on the vehicle. The thick gel is water-soluble and makes long-lasting foam. GYEON also points out that most paint defects come from improper washing, so pair it with a two-bucket method and a soft wash mitt.

Note that Bathe is an exterior shampoo. It is not a leather product, so keep it on the paint and use LeatherCleaner Natural inside the car.
