Optima Steam Jet Car Washer XD

The Optima Steam Jet Car Washer XD is the larger sibling: 9.5 bar, 135°C, pre-heating in 3 to 4 minutes, and a steam flow of 300 to 1,800 cc/min on single-phase power. It weighs 89 kg and measures 995 by 660 by 887 mm. It has an emergency stop switch, larger tanks than its predecessor, and can be paired with a portable generator to work outside. Optima describes it as both a professional exterior wash machine and an interior cleaner that works as a multi-purpose machine without changing internal settings.

Optima Steam Jet Car Washer XE 18K and XE 27K

The Optima Steam Jet Car Washer XE 18K and the Optima Steam Jet Car Washer XE 27K are electric-powered, three-phase machines intended for indoor cleaning and sanitisation. They offer a selection of wet to dry steam, an LCD status display, an emergency stop and a large water tank. Both run at 9.5 bar and 135°C and pre-heat in 6 to 7 minutes, and both weigh 82 kg. The 18K draws 18.2 kW with a steam flow of 300 to 1,200 cc/min, and the 27K draws 27.2 kW with a flow of 300 to 1,700 cc/min.

How to choose

Power supply: the S5K, XD and XDm run on single-phase supply, while the XE models need three-phase power. Check what your premises have before you decide.
Mobile or fixed: for a mobile setup, favour the lighter machines (the S5K and XDm) or the XD with a generator. For a fixed workshop with three-phase power, the XE machines suit indoor use.
